Guess what? I wrote a book! It's something I never dreamed I'd do, but it was inspired. A year ago, my Mom had a heart attack. She pulled through. She's doing better than ever, but I went back home, back to my homeland of Virginia to care for her.
She and my Dad live in this beautiful little house nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I'd go on quiet walks through the trails every day. It felt like time stood still. Like these woods hadn't changed for hundreds, thousands of years. In the quiet of the woods, the stories, characters, feel of my book came to me. I worked through my pain and sorrow, my gratitude, by writing. I wanted all of my favorite things- super senses, beautiful elves, hot warrior dudes, tortured princes... but I'd never read a story like mine. With a sweet girl who'd never been afraid. Who was living in a world teetering between utopia and dystopia without realizing it.
Writing made my brain come to life. Brought me joy. I love it and I hope to one day be able to share my stories with the world!
